In the water industry, NAVs stand for New Appointments and Variations. NAVs are limited companies that provide water and/or sewerage services to customers in a specific geographic area, often a new development or area not previously served by the incumbent water company. NAVs can be appointed by Ofwat to provide these services, effectively competing with the existing monopoly provider and these appointments are becoming more common. Ofwat, the water regulator, has powers to regulate NAVs in the same way as it regulates incumbent water companies, ensuring fair pricing, service quality, and sustainable practices.

Chaired by Karen McCormack, Property Searches Manager, United Utilities and presented by Jason Harper, NAV Account Manager, Thames Water, the session will help to demystify NAVs, explain what you need to know so that the CON29DW ordering process runs smoothly and that you’re ordering from the right provider.

Find out more about NAVS and the CON29DW at our next webinar on Thursday, 22 May 2025, 10.00am – 10.30am. Our webinars are free – do share with colleagues and bring your queries for the end of session Q&A. We look forward to seeing you – register here.
